It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Jo Karnopp of McCool Junction, Nebraska, who passed away on June 20, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rudy Codr and Marie Codr (Vogeltanz); her siblings, Donald Codr and Bette Tomes; and her grandson Nathan Raun.
She is survived by: her husband Gary Karnopp of McCool Junction; her children, Tim Karnopp (Beth) of Olathe, KS, Teresa Raun (Chris) of Lincoln, Kathy Jorgensen (Mike) of Wichita, KS, Diane Ellerbee (Bill) of Lincoln, Nancy Heyne (Todd) of Lincoln and David Karnopp (Shannon) of West Point, NE; and her sisters, Carol Lee Korgan of Portland, OR and Jean Haskins (Bob) of Portland, OR. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers or plants, memorials may be directed to St. Patrick's Catholic Church in McCool Jct. or St. Joseph's Catholic Church and School in York.
