He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Smith and Marguerite Smith (Bailey); his brother Jerome; his sister-in-law Beverly Smith; his granddaughter Amanda Mitchell; and his nephew Glen Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Smith of McCool Junction; his children, Rondalyn Mitchell (Robert) of Omaha, NE, Boyd Smith (Lori) and Rita Lyon (Marlin) of Lincoln, NE; his grandson Trevor Smith (Jenny) of York; his children, Nick Mitchell of Omaha, Morgan Schnorbach (Kevin) of Scottsdale, Arizona, Samantha Lyon of Lincoln and Jack Lyon (Elissa Miller) of Omaha; and his great grandchildren, Kenley and Kason Smith of York. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers or plants memorials may be directed to the McCool Junction Community Church or to the McCool Junction American Legion Ronald Porter Post #341.
