He is survived by: his children, Carlene Orman of Anacortes, WA, Linda Turnipseed of Ravenna, NE, Dena Blakeman (Roger) of Broken Bow, NE, Diana Henry (Tom) of North Platte, NE and Wes Turnipseed (Makenzi) of Ord, NE; his grandson Jason Blakeman of Broken Bow, NE; and his brother Carl Sterner (Gwen) of Kansas.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Govier Brothers Mortuary (542 S 9th Ave, Broken Bow, NE 68822). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to the Merna Fire and Rescue Department.
