She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Leonard Swanson and Evelyn Swanson (Bang); her spouse Burdette Anderson (Bill); her stepfather Willis Bloomfied; her children, Steve Anderson (Molly) of Minden and Kim Wanek (Tony) of Hastings; her grandchildren, Ryan Wanek of Omaha, Tyler Wanek (Chentel) of Omaha, Spencer Wanek (Hannah) of Hastings, Caitlyn Hawthorne (Zach) of St. George, UT and Max Anderson (Kaci) of Austin, TX; her great grandchildren, Edison Wanek of Omaha, Owen and Phoebe Wanek of Hastings; her stepsiblings, Merna Carlin of Burlington, CO, Alice Bates (Don) of Kearney, Carol Kuehn (Chuck) of Minden and Gene Bloomfied (Dorene) of Minden; and her aunt Margaret Christensen of Minden. She was also cherished by nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Barb's honor are kindly suggested to the Westminster United Presbyterian Church in Minden or to the Kearney County Historical Society.
