We are sad to announce that on August 15, 2023, at the age of 89, Donna J. Schwenka of Minden, Nebraska passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Donna J. Schwenka to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Grace Olsen and Rienhart Olsen; her husband Dick Schwenka; her siblings, Deb Cover, Beverlee Miller and Marshall Olsen; her grandson Jeremy Dean Schwenka; her grandson-in-law Matt Brass; and her great grandchildren, Mary Gabriel Brass and John Paul Faustina Brass.

She is survived by : her children, Dick Schwenka (Deb) of Minden, Don Schwenka (Linda) of Minden, Dean Schwenka (Mary Jo) of Heartwell, Doug Schwenka (Linda) of Hastings, Denise Sinsel (Chuck) of Grand Island and Dee Ann Higgins (Tim) of Grand Island; and her daughters-in-law, Marcia Marsh (Dean), Janice Horan (John) and Cindy Flavell. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Donna's honor are kindly suggested to the Westminster United Presbyterian Church, Bethany Home, and the Kearney County Medical Foundation.

“It is with love and friendship that we sent our sympathies to the family. Donna was a classmate of Connie at MHS and we spent alot of fun times together. She And I were 2 of what we called the "Eight Balls" and now there are just 3 of us left. I am so thankful that we got to spend time together at our Five Year Class Reunions in Minden. I am so sorry that I can't be there with you at the funeral. God Bless each and every one of you.”
