He is survived by: his wife Sue Christensen of Minden; his children, Scott Ziems (Laurie) of Kearney and Kristen Wilson (Ryan) of Meridian, ID; his grandchildren, Asher Wilson (Grace), Tate Wilson (Taylor), Perry Wilson, Hunter Ziems (Ashleigh), Cooper Ziems (Maci Kalsbeck), Brittanie Ziems, Izzy Ziems, Kasey Ziems, Patrick Ziems, Micah Ziems, Finn Ziems, McKenzie Ziems and Sawyer Ziems; his great grandchildren, Brooks, Jude Wilson, Blake, Rory Wilson and Hudson Ziems; and his siblings-in-law, Marlene Ziems, Polly Ziems and Steve Christensen (Char). He is also survived by relatives and close friends.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church (206 N Colorado Ave, Minden, NE 68959). The military honors will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Nebraska Veterans Cemetery (3270 W Capital Ave, Grand Island, NE 68803).
