John R. Finkner Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John R. Finkner (Minden, Nebraska), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 9, 2025 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Adam Finkner (Viola Wilhelmina Rapp) and Hopewell Church; and his sister Mary Lee. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Jeanne Hefti; his children, Mike (Kathy Finkner), ZoAnne (Dennis Kunnemann), Matthew (Ann Finkner) and Sara (Dennis Mann); and his sisters, Marlene Veerhusen and Sharon Walker. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Minden United Methodist Church (340 N Newell Ave, Minden, NE 68959). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Doc's honor are kindly suggested to the Finkner High School Scholarships Fund, in care of the family.
