He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Jack, Jacqueline Schwartz, Runt (Ernest) and Marie Nelson; his uncles, Augie Nelson and Randy Horine; his aunt Erna (Nelson); and his cousin Anthony Blum.
He is survived by: his parents, Roy Nelson and Karen Nelson (Schwartz) of Minden; his uncle Lucas; his brother John Nelson (Erin Kenney) of Houston; his nieces and nephews, Cameron Nelson, Elizabeth (Nelson) and Chase Powers of Dallas; his son William (Graham Nelson); his sister Kirsten (Nelson); and his nieces and nephews, Maverick, Lucky, Banks and Jameson of Minden.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Lucas' honor are kindly suggested to Minden Volunteer Fire Department, Minden Police Department, Bethany Lutheran Church, or Kearney County Health Services Foundation.
