She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry H. Behren and Ida M. Von Behren (Schwartz); her son Timothy M. Schmidt; her husband Martin W. Schmidt; and her siblings, Harold, Marvin, Earl, Loren, Arnold, Irene, Cordelia, Evelyn, Arletta, Beverly and Nadine. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended relatives and close friends.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church (206 N Colorado Ave, Minden, NE 68959). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
