He was predeceased by : his parents, Dale Shoemaker and Ruth Shoemaker (Payton); and his siblings, Fred, Dick, Larry Shoemaker and Diane Judd.

He is survived by : his wife Bonnie Rose of Rushville; his children, Keith Shoemaker (Renae) of Huron, SD, Kevin Shoemaker (Becky) of Hastings, NE, Ty Shoemaker (Kayla) of Hastings, NE and Christa Bullinger (Shawn) of Tulsa, OK; and his sister Connie Green. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
