With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Ronald Carl Ahlers Sr. of Mitchell, Nebraska, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his father Louis Rudolph; his former wife Sharon Ahlers of John's Lutheran Church; his sister Debra Shank; and his great grandchild Emerson Ahlers. He is survived by: his mother Marilyn Catherine Ahlers (Martensen) of Scottsbluff; his wife Edee Ahlers of Mitchell; his children, Ron Ahlers Jr. (Cindy) of Scottsbluff, Chris Ahlers (Jenn) of Gering, Amanda Ahlers of Kansas City, KS and Heather Garcia (Jesse) of Council Bluffs, IA; his stepchildren, Tiphony Burkhardt of Scottsbluff, Nathan Flowers (Crystal) of Gering, Nick Flowers of Gering and Justin Brown of Gering; and his siblings, Linda Peterson (Ed), Dave Ahlers (Roxanne), Nancy Nelson (Paul) and Jeff Ahlers (Kelly). He is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
