She was predeceased by: her parents, Concepcion Rodriguez and Hilaria Rodriguez (Solano); her husband Miguel Carrizales; her son Miguel Jr.; her sons-in-law, Lucio and Salvador; her granddaughter Gabriella; and her siblings, Angel, Juan, Catarina, Jose "Pepe", Albino, Pedro, Dominga and Juana.
She is survived by: her children, Paula, Dora, Juan (Karen), Cruz (Joe), Margarito (Peggy) and Alicia (Ezequiel); her grandchildren, Gerald, Christopher, Christy, Rick, Gilbert, Robert, Mark, Aaron, Rachel, Erica, Derick, Lissa, Jordan, Jeremy, Michael and Mariah; and her siblings, Pabla, Frances, Antonia, Luis and Maria. She is also survived by 33 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St Theresa's Catholic Church (1715 17th St, Mitchell, NE 69357). A rosary was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials in Irene's honor may be made to St. Theresa's Catholic Church.
