He was predeceased by: his parents, Evelyn Howard (Lambert) and Dalton Howard. He is survived by: his wife Christine Howard; his stepsons, Robert Spurlin (Starla) and Ken Spurlin; his grandsons, Jarod Spurlin (Lexi) and Hunter Spurlin (Morgan); his great grandchildren, William and Harrison Spurlin; and his sisters, Linda Walker (Robert) of Arkansas and Brenda Suddeth (Bill) of Mississippi. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Assembly of God Church of Mullen, Mullen EMT's, or Cedarview Cemetery.
