He was predeceased by: his parents, Opal Heer (Tomlin) and Ivan Heer. He is survived by: his daughters, Carmen Dunn (Chad) of Corpus Christi, TX and Christina Kemp (Charles) of Panama City, FL; his siblings, Larry Heer (Sue) of Kensington, KS and Connie Hunt (Lonnie) of Franklin, NE.; and his grandchildren, Tambren Bennett of Oklahoma City, Tatum Dunn (Corpus Christi), Zoey Kemp (Panama City) and Tarynn Dunn (Corpus Christi). He is also survived by Many nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews and great-great nieces.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hutchins Funeral Home (1402 M St, Franklin, NE 68939). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
