David touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Malvern Read and Neva Read (Laneaster); and his sisters, Rose Ella and Eileen. He is survived by: his wife Sally Read (Childers); his children, Teresa (Greg), Carrie (Joseph), Craig (Robin) and Kimberly; his grandchildren, Sheena, Hope, Lisa, Josh, Megan, John, Tyler, Blake, Savannah, Cheyenne, Christian and Dimitri; his great grandchildren, Jaxton, Nicole of David, SJ, Kayden, Michelle, Carlos, Natalie and Finbarr; and his sister Ruth (Jim).
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary's Cemetery (1900 N 19th St, Nebraska City, NE 68410).
