He was predeceased by : his parents, Garland M. Trew and Rowena U. Trew (Munn); his sister Marilyn Monson; his sons, Terry Trew and Marlin Rakes; his grandson Adam Rakes; and his nephew Robert Monson.

He is survived by : his wife Beth Trew of Nebraska City, NE; his daughter Pam McCall (Roy) of Hamburg, IA; his daughter-in-law Tammy Trew of Nebraska City, NE; and his grandchildren, Terry Trew Jr., Tish Trew and Ryan Rakes. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; other family and friends.
