It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Wenzl of Nebraska City, Nebraska, who passed away on February 21, 2024, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Rita Wenzl to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Andrew J. Pfeiffer and Theresa G. Pfeiffer (Meyer); her husband Walt of Mary's Catholic Church; her son Michael Wenzl; her grandson Andrew; and her siblings, Delores Ryan, Esther Barton, Frances Pfeiffer, Andrew, Robert, Leonard, Glen, Leo and Martin.
She is survived by : her children, Norbert, Joseph, Theresa Billmeier (Lou) of Elkhorn, NE, Mary Powell (Scott) of Murfreesboro, TN and John Wenzl (Mary) of Nebr; her grandchildren, Jenny Billmeier Mallum (Marshall), Matthew Billmeier, Jeff Rowe (Jennifer), Carie Hulzebos (Ryan), Andrea Taylor (Greg), Joey Wenzl (Holly), Michael Wenzl and Theresa Horstman (Dillon); her great grandchildren, Sydney, Halle Mallum, Lexi Rowe, Ava, Eli, Hugh Hulzebos, Grant, Bennett Taylor and Ryan Horstmann; her stepgrandchildren, Michelle Kreifels, John Kreifels, Christy Pries (Scott) and Katie Miller (Clint); her sister Irene Peterson (Bob) of Davenport, IA; her sister-in-law Rosemarie Pfeiffer of Nebr; and also Presley.
Memorials may be given to St. Mary's Church Fellowship Hall Renovation.
