It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virgil D. Hastings of Nebraska City, Nebraska, who passed away on August 31, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, DeWitt L. "Dee" Hastings and Dorothy R. Hastings (Bazer); his brother Jerry Hastings; and his grandson Bryton. He is survived by: his wife Iona Hastings of Nebr; his daughters, Cindy Bell (Jeff) of Hickman, NE, Debbie Beebout (Mark) of North Platte, NE, Vicki Stoll (Fred) of Lincoln, NE and Sandy Hastings (Darrell Dixon) of Allen, TX; his grandchildren, Paiton Bell, Corbin Bell, Ethan Bell, Jordan Beebout (Amanda), Erin Beebout, Dylan Stoll (Lisa), Griffin Stoll, Willow Shipley (Jeremy) and Jerritt Dixon; and his great grandchild Scarlett Stoll.
