He was predeceased by: his parents, Verl Ackley and Phyllis Ackley of Union, NE.; and his grandparents, Wayne, Vera Ackley, Dewey and Lillian Johnson.
He is survived by: his sister Karen Ackley Fritschle; his nieces, Lisa McHenry (Daryl) and Holly Drew (Jamie); and his nephew Franz Booe (Sabrina). He is also survived by six great-nephews, one great-niece, cousins and many friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Marshall Funeral Chapel (1109 1st Corso, Nebraska City, NE 68410). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at the East Union Cemetery.
