She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Wells and Lala Wells (Buttolph); her daughter Diane Kay; her husband Clifford Nelson; her brothers, Bob Wells and Wilmer Wells; and her siblings-in-law, Butch Ertz, Warren Olson, Kenneth Nelson and Shirley Wells.

She is survived by: her siblings, Lyle Wells of Hartington, NE, Don Wells (Carol) of Columbus, NE, Albert Wells (Marla) of Columbus, NE, Etta Mae Olson of Albion, NE, Mary Sutton (Ron) of Genoa, NE, Anna Ertz of O'Neill, NE and Rilla Hanzlik (Francis) of Ewing, NE; her brother-in-law Oliver Nelson (Lorraine) of Spencer, NE; and her niece Rhonda Moehlenhoff. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
