He was predeceased by: his brother-in-law John Ensign; his grandparents, Willis, Neva Thornberry, Herbert and Lola Peters; and his aunts and uncles, Marv, Elaine Thayer, Jim and Shirley Peters.
He is survived by: his parents, Larry Thornberry and Doris Thornberry (Peters) of Nelson; his son Gariv Thornberry of Norton, Kansas; his sister Vicki Ensign of Nelson; his nieces, Jessi Hoeft (Nathan) of Hastings and Kelly Karr (William) of Blue Hill; and his great-nephews, Caleb and Jacob Karr.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Open House.
