It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Jane Hoesing of Newcastle, Nebraska, who passed away on February 13, 2026, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rudolph Schulte and Lucina Schulte (Becker); her sons, Bernard and Leonard; her grandson Jerome; and her siblings, Richard Schulte, Sally Borreson (Henry) and Jeanette Tramp (Arnold).
She is survived by: her spouse Fintan John Hoesing; her children, Larry Hoesing of Creighton, Donna Hoesing of Yankton, SD, Arthur Hoesing (Julie) of Yankton, SD, Alfred Hoesing (Monika) of Maskell, NE and Elmer Hoesing (Jane) of Coleridge, NE; her sister Norma Van Hove of Renner, SD; and her sister-in-law Shirley McCloud of Yankton, SD.. She is also survived by six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St Peter's Catholic Church (403 Annie St, Newcastle, NE 68757). A rosary was held on Thursday, February 19th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Thursday, February 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorials should be directed to the charity of your choice.
