He is survived by: his son Carl Hinz (Brenda) of Newcastle; his grandchildren, Jessica Nelson (Brian), Heather Schweers (Michael), Jacob Hinz (Paige), Jeremiah Hinz (Julie) and Jenny Rolfes (Craig); and his sister Selma Schrader. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
