We announce the death of Linda Whipple (Niobrara, Nebraska), who passed away on October 3, 2026, at the age of 74. Linda will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lovey Whipple (Valandra) and Paul Whipple; and her siblings, Newt, Babe and Loretta.
She is survived by: her daughters, Bernadette (Brian) of Santee and Janelle of Santee; her grandchildren, Tony (Casey) of Santee, Brandon of Santee, Marisol (Adian) of Santee, Josey of Santee, Hunter of Santee, Sage of Omaha and Maggi of Omaha; and her great grandchildren, Willow and Atlus. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Oyate Oyanke Community Center (104 Veterans Memorial Dr, Santee, NE 68760). A wake was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Brockhaus Funeral Home (253 Apple St, Niobrara, NE 68760). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Oyate Oyanke Community Center (104 Veterans Memorial Dr, Santee, NE 68760).
