He was predeceased by: his parents, Gary Moose and Harriet Moose (Clairmont); his siblings, Steph Moose, Sandra Moose, Suzette Whipple, Duane Whipple, Jr. and Mike McBride; his nephews, Duane Joseph Moose, Dominique Whipple and Tristan Moose; and his niece Joey Lynn Johnson.
He is survived by: his siblings, Stacy Johnson (Jon), Joseph Moose (Shannon Lee), Don Whipple, Robert Whipple and Trisha Becerra; his grandchildren, Emma, Rowen, Maddix Martell, Maverick, Emyrk, Azaire Miller, Drayce Phillips and Abie Moose; his nieces and nephews, Cheryl Moose, Stefani Johnson, Karma Torres, Makayla Lee, JJ, Ryan and Holden Moose; and his namesakes, Steven Moose and Gary Moose.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 3:00 PM. A wake will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Brockhaus Funeral Home (253 Apple St, Niobrara, NE 68760). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Oyate Oyanke Community Center (104 Veterans Memorial Dr, Santee, NE 68760).
