With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Betty Papstein of Norfolk, Nebraska, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 20, 2025 at the age of 96. She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Nicholas and Blanche Nicholas (Carrico); her husband Marvin Papstein; her son Todd; her son-in-law Remi Wiehn; her brother William Nicholas; her grandson Jason Beed; and her great grandchild Kellan James Conyers.
She is survived by: her children, David Papstein (Linda) of Norfolk, Rosemary Hammerstrom (Mike) of Sioux City, Pam Burney (Tom) of Norfolk, Bette Wiehn of Lincoln, Alison Beed of Norfolk and Bill Papstein of Norfolk; and her daughter-in-law Barb Papstein of Norfolk. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
