Gary Svoboda Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gary Svoboda of Norfolk, Nebraska, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 17, 2026 at the age of 85. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gary Svoboda to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolph Svoboda and Isabel Svoboda (German); his siblings, Jan Wagner and Charlie; and his sister-in-law Maxine Svoboda.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Evans; and his children, Sue Heermann (Bill) of Fremont, Sherri Juracek (Mike) of Lincoln, Debra Shanle (Bill) of Columbus and Steve Svoboda (Julie) of Norfolk. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Memorials are requested to Norfolk Catholic High School.
