He was predeceased by: his parents, Ludwig Leffers and Juanita Leffers (Preston); his sister WillaMae Leffers Brothers (John); and his sister-in-law Janice Leffers. He is survived by: his wife LaVada "Lee" Leffers of Norfolk, NE; his children, Rebecca Leffers of Columbus, NE and Richard Leffers (Christina); his siblings, Robert Leffers of Clarkson, NE, Ronald Leffers of Seattle, WA and Marie Nielsen (Bill) of Battle Creek, NE; and his sister-in-law Sharon Leffers of Columbus, NE. He is also survived by Five Grandchildren Four Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 9:30 AM. A prayer will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 10:15 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (39346 205 Ave, Columbus, NE 68601). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
