With sadness, we share the passing of Lavonne P. Olnes of Norfolk, Nebraska. Lavonne, born on March 14, 1930, passed away on September 12, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Johan Albert and Margaret Schademann (Cegavske); her husband Lowell Olnes; her son Eugene Olnes; her grandchildren, Jeremy Olnes and Amanda Olnes; her great grandchild Jenna Cox; her granddaughter Marie Red Cloud; and her siblings, Lester Schademann (Dorothy), Marvin Schademann (Marlene) and Iola.
She is survived by: her children, Lowellyn "Lou" Steinkraus (Barry) of Plainview, NE and Dale Olnes (Veronica) of Petersburg, NE; and her grandchildren, Stephanie Cox (Rob), Brenda Ryan (John), Gina Pavelka (Jim), Angela Olnes, Shawn Olnes, Brian Steinkraus (Kristin), Laura Frahm (Ward), Lisa Montgomery (Travis), John Steinkraus (Dani), Jessica Olnes (Jeremy Shell), Casondra Andersen (Shawn), Maria Brown (Patrick) and Andrea Hanson (Arliss). She is also survived by many great-grandchildren; other relatives; and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church - Albion (319 S 5th St, Albion, NE 68620). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family for a later designation.
