He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Schwartz and Alma Schwartz (Eggers); and his siblings, Aletha Schwartz, Lillian Schwartz, Mildred Bishop and Norris Schwartz.
He is survived by: his sons, Gregory Milton (Patricia Schwartz) of St. Libory, Roger Louis (Crystal Schwartz) of Howells, Martin Frederick (Christine Schwartz) of Stanton and David Alan (Sharon Schwartz) of Harlan, Iowa; his wife JoAnn Schwartz of Norfolk; his grandchildren, Emily, Andrew, Sara, Robert and Cassandrea (David Liebhard); his great grandchildren, Levi, Tessa and Hazel; his granddaughter Nichole Anthony; his great grandchildren, Brantley and Neleigh; his grandson Tyler (Sarah Schwartz); his great grandchildren, Cambrynn, Hattie and Norah; his grandson Derek (Jacque Schwartz); his great grandchildren, Vera and Blake; his grandson Luke (Amy Schwartz); his great grandchildren, Maliya and Sophie; his granddaughter Erika Schwartz; and his brother Allen Schwartz of Norfolk.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Home For Funerals Chapel (708 Georgia Ave, Norfolk, NE 68701). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to Shepherd of Peace Lutheran Church in Norfolk, for the purchase of a nativity set.
