With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Peter Hamata of North Bend, Nebraska, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 2, 2025 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Hamata and Elaine Hamata (Bailey); and his brothers, Mike and Steve Hamata. He is survived by: his wife Betty (Brtek); his sons, James Hamata of Fremont, NE and Jason Hamata (Ali) of Johnston, IA; his granddaughters, Karlie, Madeline, Clara and Rose Hamata of Johnston, IA; his sisters, Nancy Key (Richard) of La Canada, CA and Kathy Van De Water of San Marino, CA; his brother-in-law Roger Brtek; his niece Taylor Brtek of Omaha, NE; and his sister-in-law Diane Chmelka (Bob) of Fremont, NE. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
