She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Smith and Agnes Smith (Sedlacek); and her siblings, Raymond Smith, Colleen Savage, Donald Smith, Dorren and Myra Smith.
She is survived by: her sons, Gary Brooks (Brenda) and Gerald Brooks; her grandchildren, Brenda Hills-Brooks of North Platte, Austin Brooks (Sarah), Kylin Brooks, Taylor Hills, Cameron Hills, Jessica Reed (Rich) and Nate Davis (Sherre Klie-Davis); her great grandchildren, Reese Brooks, Madison, Aspen Reed, Jonathan, Aurora, Carson and Quinton Davis; and her brother Merril Smith of North Platte.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carpenter Memorial Chapel (1616 W B St, North Platte, NE 69101). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Harvest Christian Church (1501 S Dewey St, North Platte, NE 69101).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.
