He is survived by: his wife Juanita Dircksen; his children, Blaine A. Smith (Linda) of West Chicago, IL, Brenda Buzydlowski (Frank) of Philadelphia, PA and Bethany Magner (Steve) of North Platte, NE; his grandchildren, Angela Rogers (Chase), Aaron Smith (Yamuna Phal), Adam Smith, Joshua Magner and Lauren Welsh (Stephen); and his great grandchildren, Bailey, Roman, Joaquin, Bellamy Rogers and Jonah Smith.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 2nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Carpenter Memorial Chapel (1616 W B St, North Platte, NE 69101).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Parkview Community Church (1802 N Jeffers St, North Platte, NE 69101).
