He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell L. Newtson and Jessie P. Newtson (Tibbles); and his sisters-in-law, Connie Newtson and Kathy Newtson. He is survived by: his wife Janie M. Hanson; his siblings, Roger Newtson, Wes Newtson, Virginia Huffman (Bruce) and Kara Newtson; and his nieces and nephews, Mike Newtson, Corrie, Krystal Trevor (Eric), Keta Rinne, Miranda Newtson and Kati Jo Newtson. He is also survived by many great-nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 7th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Book Signing Adams & Swanson Funeral Home (421 W 4th St, North Platte, NE 69101). A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Fort McPherson National Cemetery (12004 South Spur 56a, Maxwell, NE 69151).
