He was predeceased by: his father Bill Melvin (Mauretta Folchert); and his siblings, Billy Melvin and Becky Kramer. He is survived by: his former wife Janel Gamble; his children, Alexis and Hunter; his wife Denise Folchert; his children, Carson, Aria, Jocelyn and Elijah; his mother LaRae Garretson (Connelly); his brothers, Shane Halcott, Brad Halcott and Travis Melvin (Jennifer); and his brothers-in-law, John Folchert (Nicole) and Jacob Folchert.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Adams & Swanson Funeral Home (421 W 4th St, North Platte, NE 69101). A memorial service was held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family for future designation.
