He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis "Mac" McMurtry and Rozella McMurtry; his parents-in-law, Verna and Don Kellogg; and his siblings-in-law, Julie Buehler and Duane Beck.
He is survived by: his wife Sally Kellogg; his daughter Jamie Polk (Lance); his grandchildren, Kenzie, Jack and Landon; his son Danny McMurtry (Cassie); his grandchildren, Rocco, Knox and Stella Bea; his daughter Becky Middleton (Ellen); his grandchildren, Kipling and Ella; his son Matt McMurtry (Amy); his grandsons, Austin, Logan and Ty; and his siblings, Tom McMurtry (Carroll), Bobby McMurtry (Alice), Bernie McMurtry (Christi) and Alice Keck (Keven). He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts, uncles and brothers and sisters-in-law; as well as his many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are to the Jim McMurtry Memorial Fund at First National Bank.
