He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruby J. Kittle and Glenn C. Kittle; his wife Jan Swedberg (Coffey); and his brothers, Keith Kittle and John "Curt" Kittle.

He is survived by: his children, Angela Hipp of North Platte, Jeff Kittle (Beth) of Oregon and Rob Kittle (Danielle) of North Platte; his grandchildren, Emily Swedberg of North Platte, Ellen Davis (Jake) of League City, Texas, Larissa, Zoe, Kyndra, Alyssa, Thomas, Daisy, Andrew, Evelyn, Samson, Justina, Alexander, Henry, Eli, Walter and Milo; his sister-in-law Bette Kittle; his niece Grethen Kittle; and his nephew Christian Kittle.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the North Platte Concert Association.
