He was predeceased by : his parents, Floyd O. McClellen and Opal McClellen (Kugler); his in-laws, Maurice and Amanda Grandgenett; his brothers, Rich, Gerald McClellen (Mary), Maurice Grandgenett and Mike (LaDonna Housh); his son-in-law Gilbert Hiatt; and his grandson Brett McClellen.

He is survived by : his wife Kathryn Grandgenett; and his children, Deborah Keith (Christopher) of Fountain, CO, Karen Waite (Terry) of North Platte, Catherine Hiatt of Lincoln, Roger McClellen (Pamela) of Charleston, S. C., Larry McClellen (Shãna) of Lincoln, John McClellen (Brenda) of North Platte, Loretta Pavelka (Ben) of North Platte and Michelle Pieper (Mark) of Lincoln. He is also survived by 70 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Memorials in lieu of flowers, in his memory may be made to St. Patrick's Catholic Church or to the Callahan Cancer Center.
