He was predeceased by: his parents, Vere Pontious and Fern Pontious. He is survived by: his daughters, Linda Lewis (Chris Helmuth) and Karen Mueller (King Mueller); his wife Dorothy Beach; his grandchildren, Alyssa and Ashlyn Lewis; his brother Gary Pontious (Ellie); and his sibling's children, Alice Pilram (Atta), Annie Kharoufeh (Jamal), Mark Pontious, John Pontious (Julie), John Beach (Joy), Tim Beach (Ana) and Bruce Baumruk (Sue).
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 11th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Starved Rock Lodge (One Lodge Ln, Oglesby, IL 61348).
