We announce the death of Ronnie G. Swenson Sr. (Oakland, Nebraska), who passed away on July 18, 2026, at the age of 83. Ronnie will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Swenson and Irene Swenson (Oakland Hospital); his son Scott Eugene Swenson; his siblings, Marlene Johnson (Lonnie Johnson), Jim and Bob Swenson; and his parents-in-law, Lester, Loretta Johnson, Russ and Alice Nichols.
He is survived by: his wife Margene; his sons, David (Nola), Ron Jr. (Christi) and Christopher (Ashley); his brother Tom (Carol); his grandchildren, Casey, Maggie, Kain, Brandon, Dylan, Ronnie III, Lily and Ryker; and his great grandchildren, Liam, Asher, Ruby, Salem, River and Bexley. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and cherished friends.
