She was predeceased by: her parents, William Nieman and Lucinda Nieman; her in-laws, Charles and Evelyn Bures; her brother Vernon Nieman; her siblings-in-law, Ila Mae Nieman and Marvin Rippe; and her nephew Scott Rippe.
She is survived by: her husband Marvin Dale Bures; her sons, Ron Bures (Cathy) and Dave Bures (Krys); her sisters, Vernita Rippe, Hanover and LaDonna Shalla Fairbury (Guy); her grandchildren, Courtney Scott (Ben), Jace Bures (Sarah), Whitney Meyer (Mitchell), Cole Bures (Sammie), Kirsten Larson (Evan) and Dalton Bures; and her children, Hazel, Everett, Elsie Scott, Boyd and Cade Meyer. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
The lying in state will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel (708 N 6th St, Beatrice, NE 68310). Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Our Savior Lutheran Church (423 Maple St, Odell, NE 68415). A prayer will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 10:15 AM to 10:30 AM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly request that donations be made to Odell Volunteer Fire and Rescue with the funeral home in charge.
