For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Merle Combs and Ruth Combs (Lehman) of Ogallala, Nebraska.; and his brother Scott Allan Combs. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Combs of San Diego; his children, Shawna Whitehead of La Porte, Max Whitehead of La Porte and Eric Combs (Martha); his sister Karen Goebel (Mike) of Irving; his sister-in-law Kara Lile of Irving; and also Michael Paul Goebel of Irving.

He became an instructor for Motorcycle Safety Foundation and worked at that for several years until his knees finally said no more.
