Jean Slagle Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jean Slagle of Ogallala, Nebraska, born in Beatrice, Nebraska, who passed away on August 31, 2020 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ben Beran and Velma Beran (VanOsdol); her brother Richard; and her brother-in-law Max Slagle. She is survived by: her husband Ted Slagle of Grant, Nebraska.; her children, Kim McCarthy (Tom) of St. Peters, MO, Jay Slagle of Seattle, WA and Barry Slagle of Omaha, NE.; her grandchildren, Aaron Slagle of Omaha, NE, Caitlin Slagle of Omaha, NE, Jack McCarthy of Nashville, TN and Lauren McCarthy of Peoria, IL.; her brother Larry Beran (Lorraine) of Evans; and her siblings-in-law, Jerry Slagle of Ogallala and Jeanne Sherman of Douglas. She is also survived by six nephews and two nieces.

A memorial has been established to the Ogallala Methodist Church or the Mesothelioma Foundation in her name.
