We are sad to announce that, on November 28, 2025, at the age of 90, Mary Ann Hansmeier (Ogallala, Nebraska) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Brant and Leona; her husband Tom (Tom) of John's Lutheran Church; her son Steven Hansmeier; her stepfather Eugene Rathbun; her brother Joe Bueoy; her parents-in-law, Carl and Esther Hansmeier; her siblings-in-law, Betty Gloy, Janice Hansmeier, Pat Engel, Ira Painter, Leonard Gloy, Ivan Ekart, Fred Engel, Gerald Hansmeier and Sam Gill; and her nephews, Tim Engel and Vincent Gill.

She is survived by: her daughter Susan Jo (John Hardessen) of Kearney; her grandchildren, Erica (Eric Edwards) of Kearney, Jess (Mikala Hardessen) of Gretna, Andrew (Lisa Hansmeier) of Franktown, Laura (Matt Payne) of Ogallala, Heather Hansmeier of Colorado and Mia Hilber-Hansmeier; her sister Cassie Bailey (Josef Erickson) of Omaha; her great grandchildren, Drue, Asher Barbee, Olivia, Max Hardessen, Otto and Rhett Edwards; her great great grandchild Cohen Barbee; her sister Leona Gill of Big Springs; and her sisters-in-law, Peg Ekart of Imperial and Mary Sue (Dan Borowski) of Ogallala.
