He is survived by: his children, Melanie Towell of Ogallala, Deb Demilt (Steve) of Ogallala and Chad Leach of Kearney Nebraska; his grandchildren, Brooke Burton of Ogallala, Erica Berry (Ben) of Fayetteville, Mallory Demilt of Brule, Cami Spong (Aaron) of Firestone, Travis Demilt (Kelli) of Keystone Nebraska and Nathan Towell (Kameryn) of Moorcroft, Wyoming.; his great grandchildren, Kyarrah Burton, Beckett, Nova, Solomon Berry, Amelia Demilt, Kendall, Kolby Spong, Josi, Cayzan Demilt, Max, Jovi and Jasper Towell; his sister Viola Farrell of Indiana; his brother-in-law Willie Eastwood of Greeley; his siblings, Eleanor Leach and Gale Leach; and his nephews, Rick and George Leach. He is also survived by nieces and nephews along with great nieces and nephews and cousins.

A memorial has been established in his memory.
