He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Rasmussen and Edith Rasmussen. He is survived by: his former wife Sheryl Hafer of Utica, NE; his children, Andrew Welton Rasmussen (Nicole) of Lincoln, NE and Heather Heelan (Conan); and his siblings, Edward Rasmussen and Christy Brogden (Will) of Healdsburg, CA. He is also survived by four grandchildren.
