Though Anita Joy may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Herbert, Sr. Bass and Margaret Bass; and her siblings, Herbert Bass, Jr. and Velma Bass. She is survived by : her daughter Jalisa Bass; her sister Trisia Bass; and her nephew Roderick Bass. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family and friends.

Visitation was held on Sunday, May 19th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Mount Calvary Community Church (5112 Ames Ave, Omaha, NE 68104). A funeral service was held on Sunday, May 19th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location.
