She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Jarnecic; her parents, Peter and Theresa; her nephew Scott Seamann; her sisters, Dianne Seamann and Vivian Pennock; and her brothers-in-law, Tom Seamann and Marty Pennock.

She is survived by: her children, Steven Jarnecic (Marijo) and Karen Jarnecic; her brother Kenny (Jan); and her sibling's children, Julie Jensen (Jim), Marty Pennock (Margaret), Kenny Jensen Jr. (Stacy), Theresa Contreraz (Victor) and Monica Seamann.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Saint Thomas More Catholic Church, where Barbara was a member since 1961.

“I have many memories of time I spent with Barb through our 40 years of friendship. Her humor kept us laughing and she was always ready to tease us. We were at St. Joseph and she had many tales of the antics the students would pull. I also learned she was a Gold Star Wive member and she gave me advice which helped when my husband passed; we attended many meetings and ceremonies together. She will be missed.”
