She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Backstrom and Myra Backstrom (Anderson); her stepmother Helen; her siblings, Harley and Donna; and her siblings' children, Jim and Anne.
She is survived by: her sons, Rich of Milton, FL and Ron (Melissa) of Omaha; and her sister Mary Picken (Dennis). She is also survived by four grandchildren; one great grandson.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church (201 N Davis Ave, Oakland, NE 68045). A memorial service was held on Friday, November 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
