He is survived by: his wife JoAnn; his daughter Jodi Tate (Henry); his stepdaughters, Jodi Groff (Matt), Jana Kampschneider (Keith), Sheri Swanson (Scott) and Nicole Detra; his brothers, Reginald Tate and Dick Tate (Diana); his son Paulo Koelle; and his friend Greg Schuchmann (Linda). He is also survived by nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to West Hills Church or the University of Illinois Football Enrichment Fund (Bill Tate).
